Is a Green Peel treatment painful?

During all of our Green peel treatments herbs are massaged into the skin. You will feel a stinging heat sensation during the peel. The herbal massage can be uncomfortable no different to a chemical peel.

The main difference between the stronger method, our GREEN PEEL Classic - Class A and the gentler methods ( Fresh Up / Mela White/Energy & Energy+/ Class B & Class C ) are the concentration of herbs applied, the pressure and duration of massage.

What is a green peel & how does it work?

The Green Peel is a herbal peel, a selection of eight carefully selected herbs, each containing specific enzymes, vitamins and minerals that will help to rejuvenate the skin when massaged in.

The Green Peel is known worldwide for its non-invasive skin rejuvenation results. Herbal Green Peel helps increase blood circulation to encourage a faster metabolism and collagen production. This helps result in the outer layers of the skin peeling away to make way for newer, more youthful skin. however depending on the type of green peel and strength chosen peeling may or may not occur.

Importantly, the Herbal Green Peel is a peel without any chemicals. Instead, the green peel is a compound of the herbs’ own micro-particles that polish the upper layer of the skin.

our green peels can be done on the body and the face. Body areas include: Vulva (Brightening vajacial peel), inner thighs,  chest, back, elbows, knees and knuckles.

How does the green peel process work?

Your first appointment will always be a patch test, the patch test is free when you book a green peel single session or package. During your first appointment (which is your patch test and consultation) your aesthetician will then book you in for your actual green peel appointment.

Once you have had your green peel you will not be able to wash your face with water you can only the aftercare products we give to you. How long you're unable to wash your face for is dependant on which green peel you do:

Class A - unable to wash your face for 5 days

Class B - unable to wash your face for 3 days

Class C - unable to wash your face for 1 day

We will give you an aftercare kit which contains all the products you will need to use to wash and cream your face for the days you're unable to wash your face with water.

Will my skin peel?

It depends on which grade/strength of peel you have, typically Class C has no peeling, Class B has minor peeling and Class A has full peeling however this may differ from person to person.

HOW DOES THE PEEL WORK?

The herbal peel preparation is a compound of natural herbs. The treatment increases blood circulation and causes the upper layers of the skin to peel. The peel is rich in vital nutrients, trace elements, mineral salts, proteins and vitamins. They work to dissolve dead skin cells and slowly remove pigmentation to even the skin tone.

HOW IS THE GREEN PEEL DONE?

Your skin is cleaned, followed by massaging the herbs into the face. You may feel a tingling sensation as the peel is being done and this will vary depending on the strength of the herbal mix.

Once the massaging process is complete your aesthetician will wipe away excess herbs from the skin and apply a cream specifically designed to aid in the recovery process of the green peel to enhance your results. The depth and strength of the peeling is controlled by the amount of herb used and strength/duration of the massage. We will also patch test you before you have your peel

DO I NEED TO HAVE A PATCH TEST?

Yes a patch test is required. The appointment you book on our website will be for your patch test and consultation, we will then book your actual appointment while you're at the spa. If you were to have a reaction to your patch test you will be refunded (minus the cost of your patch test)
