Benefits of Botox for excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis)

What is Hyperhidrosis?

Hyperhidrosis is the medical term for frequent or excessive sweating. While sweating is the body’s natural cooling mechanism some peoples bodies produce more sweat than is necessary to cool the body, this is known as hyperhidrosis.

Is the treatment painful?

This is a non-surgical treatment carried out with very fine needles, therefore, the treatment is largely pain-free. If you are uncomfortable with needles, then you may feel mild discomfort which is experienced due to the small needle injection involved however we use an insulin needle which is very fine, some do not feel the needle at all.

What is the botox sweat treatment & how does it work?

Botox injections are a simple, safe, and effective way to reduce excessive sweat . Sweat glands produce sweat, which then travels up the sweat duct and out through the pores onto the surface of the skin. The botox gets injected into the sweat glads and work by putting them into a relaxed state in order to reduce the amount of sweat produced. With this treatment excessive sweat will no longer be produced.
